Pierre Daspit, son of Pierre Daspit (according to the birth record) and Anne Carmouche (<1734 - 1775), was born on 19 January 1755 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Nouvelle-France.[1] "St. Amand" or "de St. Amand" may have been a dit name that became a surname in his or his father's lifetime.
